Phil was born in southern Illinois and has lived in the St. Louis area all of his life. In 1975, while Phil’s life was falling apart, God worked the miracle of faith in his heart after hearing the gospel anew. To God be the glory!
In 2006, God called Phil and his wife, Jo, to plant Harvest Bible Chapel St. Louis. Phil’s involvement and leadership in Bible Study Fellowship equipped him and prepared him for the leadership of the Harvest Small Group Ministry. In 2009, he was appointed elder of the church.
Phil has been married to Jo for 40 years and has two grown children, daughter Joy and son Daniel, both of whom are Christians and who are married to Christians. He enjoys Bible study, small group ministry, mountain hiking, and playing the trombone and bass guitar.
His heart’s desire is the same as the purpose of Harvest Bible Chapel- to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the spirit of the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39).
