Purpose
Why are we here? Our purpose is to glorify God and fulfill the great commission. We have chosen to fulfill this through our foundational pillars of Worshiping in spirit and truth, Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word, Boldly witnessing and Earnestly praying.
Mission
Where are we going? We want our kids to grow up in the Lord Knowing Christ (Worship), Growing in Christ (Walk) and Showing Christ (Work).
Know! Worship Christ:
God is seeking worshippers and we want our children to become followers of Jesus Christ the Lord (John 1:12) who will worship God in spirit and truth. (John 4:24)
Grow! Walk with Christ:
Jesus is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24) We want our children to understand and begin to experience a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ in community with other children. (1 John 1:7)
Show! Work for Christ:
The Holy Spirit has given every believer gifts and abilities, which are to be used in service to Christ’s kingdom. (1 Corinthians 14:12) We want our children to experience the joy of serving Christ and seeing their gifts used for His glory. (John 9:24)

In our children’s ministry we want to help children establish spiritually healthy friendships.

Imitate:
In our children’s ministry we want our children to be imitators of Christ as they are discipled from the Word. Eph. 5:1 (Discipleship)
Magnify:
In our children’s ministry we want our children to magnify Christ through worship and prayer. John 4:24, Jeremiah 33:3 (Worship/Prayer)
Boldly:
In our children’s ministry we want our children to be bold in sharing their faith in Christ.

We have three divisions in Higher Ground:
RockSolid - Infants through Pre-Kindergarten
BedRock - Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
LifeRock- 4th and 6th Grade
