CZECH/ GERMAN MISSION TRIP 2010

Czech/ German Mission Trip 2010 - a life-changing outreach experience! Pastor Michael will be taking a group of singers and musicians to the Czech Republic and Germany June 2 - 14, 2010. This group of 31 called singers/ musicians from 3 states has been preparing since the beginning of February to share the Gospel in concert halls, churches, and on street corners.  They  would appreciate your prayer support for a fruitful trip. YOUR chance to see them in free concert before they go will be this Friday, May 28 - 7:30 p.m. - Harvest Ministry Center, 334 Sovereign Ct., Manchester, MO 63011.

Wednesday, 6-2         Meet at the St. Louis International Airport no later than 12:30 p.m.

                                    2 p.m. – Departure on American Airlines – AA 672 to Chicago

                                    5:20 p.m. – Depart from Chicago to London on British Airlines at– BA 294

Thursday, 6-3             Arrival in London at 7 a.m.

                                    11:05 a.m. - Departure for Prague – BA 860

                                    2:05 p.m. - Arrival in Prague (2 hour flight, but we will gain an hour –

                                    different time zone)

                                    Bus will be waiting to take us to Hotel Amarylis, Old Town Prague

                                    6 p.m. - Rehearsal with the Prague Gospel Choir at church 200 yards

                                    from the hotel

Friday, 6-4                  Morning and early afternoon – sightseeing in Prague

                                    6 p.m. – Concert at the Cirkev Bratrska Church (with the Prague Gospel

                                    Choir)

Saturday, 6-5             Morning – pack up and depart for Dresden, Germany

                                    Arrive in Dresden early afternoon at the Freie Evangelishe Gemainde

                                    (E-Free Church), Goldeness Lamm building

                                    6 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Concert at the Glodeness Lamm, Dresden, (Nacht

                                    der Kirchen = Night of the Churches)

Sunday, 6-6                Morning worship service - singing at the church in the city of Pirna – (a

                                     different E-Free Church)

                                    Late afternoon – Concert at the castle in Radeberg

Monday, 6-7               Morning and early afternoon – sightseeing in Dresden

                                    Evening – drive back to the Czech Republic, to Hradec Kralove, settle in

                                    Hotel Amber Cernigov

Tuesday, 6-8               Morning – sightseeing and shopping in the city

                                    3:30 p.m. – Rehearsal with the STO Jazz Orchestra at the Kino Central

                                     Hall

                                    7 p.m. – Concert in Hradec Kralove, Kino Central Hall (with the STO Jazz

                                    Orchestra)

Wednesday, 6-9         Morning - depart for Kuks, visit a few historical sites on the way

Afternoon - tour the Kuks castle and historical Baroque apothecary

and the historical neighborhood

                                         7 p.m. – Concert at the Kuks Chapel

                                         (Back in the hotel at about 10:30 p.m.)

Thursday, 6-10           Morning – departure for Teplicke Skaly (a natural rock town near the

                                       Polish border, tour the Fort of Dobrosov

                                       Lunch in Poland, near the city of Walbrzych

                                       Evening – Fellowship time with the Hradec church people and the STO

                                       students at “Sramkuv statek” (an old farm)

                                       Classic “pig roast” with an authentic Czech cimbalom folk music group

Friday, 6-11                Morning – shopping trip, tour the old Hradec Kralove

                                       Afternoon – depart for the town of Smirice, Tour of the Revelation

                                       Baroque Chapel

Late afternoon - Traditional kolache feast at the Sust farm

                                       7 p.m. – Concert at the Smirice Concert Hall

                                       (Back in the hotel by 10:30)

Saturday, 6-12           Morning – pack up, depart for the city of Pelhrimov (The Guinness

                                       Record Book International Festival)

                                       5 p.m. – Concert at the Old Monastery Cathedral

                                       8:30 – a brief Preformance on the Central Festival Stage in Pelhrimov

                                       (nationally televised)

                                       (Lodging: Two groups – one group at the Baptist Seminary dorms, and

                                        the other in a neighboring motel)

Sunday, 6-13              Breakfast fellowship and morning worship with the seminary residents

                                      and students

                                      3 p.m. – Concert at the Pelhrimov Concert Hall (joined by the Prague

                                      Gospel Choir and the STO Jazz Orchestra)

                                      After the concert – pack up and depart for Prague

                                      Hope to arrive in Prague (Hotel Amarylis again) by 8 p.m. so that we can

                                      have a couple more hours to see the city

Monday, 6-14             5:30 a.m. – Departure for the Prague Ruzyne Airport

                                      8:00 a.m. – Departure to Lordon, BA 853

11:45 a.m. – Departure to Chicago, BA 295

2:15 p.m. – Arrive in Chicago O’Hare

8:15 p.m. – Departure to St. Louis, AA 1235 – Early Group – arrive in St. Louis at 9:20 p.m.

9:15 p.m. – Departure to St. Louis, AA 1869 – Later Group – arrive in St. Louis Lambert Airport at 10:15 p.m.
