As we continue at Harvest to follow our conviction that "the missions of Missions is the church," we continue to celebrate and announce New Harvest Bible Chapels as they launch. We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd Harvest Church Plant in Nepal:
Pastor Padam Tamang (Pa-DOM) (TA-mang) and wife Sanu (SAW-knew)
Born into a Buddhist family and a devout Hindu, Pastor Tamang came to Christ in 2001: when he walked into a church looking for answers to his longing and the Gospel was preached, he received Christ and was baptized. He connected with Sr. Pastor Timothy of Harvest Kathmandu and went to 2 years of Bible Training. He then went through the Harvest Training for Church Planting in Nepal and preached the Gospel in his city.
Thirty people came to faith in Jesus and have gathered to plant Harvest Bible Chapel in the urban center of Kavre (KAW-Vray) Panauti (Pa-NOW-tee). On June 25, 2011, this 2nd Church Plant in Nepal launches and two others are in the process of launching this Fall.
Please pray for these Nepali believers to remain steadfast, faithful and grow in Christ as they share the good news of Jesus with boldness.
